Bloggy Breaks

Surely You Saw This Coming

So, in case I haven’t mentioned it four million times, I’m pregnant. 33 weeks pregnant, actually. Which, if my math is right (and it’s usually not, but I think I’ve gotten lucky this time) means I’m in my eighth month. Which, by default, means I am rather tired most of the time and also nesting like a maniac.

Also – and this is not a complaint – but I am still working full time as a high school teacher. I’m planning to continue working until November 23, which is a mere five days before Little Bit is expected to make her debut into the world.

So I’m working full time, and I’m a tad bit tired, and there are eighty thousand million things that need to get done in the next six weeks.

Do you see where this is going?

I’ve got to take a bloggy break, friends. BUT: I will still be giving away those ARCs I promised at some point in the near-ish future. I started one of them and I already love it, so I know you will, too!

I don’t know how long I’ll be gone; could be a week, could be longer. I’ve got scarves to knit (don’t ask) and papers to grade and maternity leave plans to finish. But once all that is done? Well, I’ll either have a baby or I’ll come back to you until my baby gets here.

Don’t leave me. We’re not breaking up, we’re just taking a break.

Happy October!

  1. Okay, bye then! *waves* Have a good time. Get ready for that precious little bundle!

    And don’t work too hard.

We’ll be here when you get back. *waves*

  2. While I am selfish and want you to keep entertaining me throughout your pregnancy, I know that’s not really fair! So, prayers are going up on the Riley’s behalf and if you need anything (dinner, a cuppa tea, or the real story behind how I hurt my back), let me know!

P!S! The exclamation points were for you 😉 !!!!

  3. Take all the time you need. Honestly, I’m surprised you’ve kept up blogging while you’re so busy growing a baby! Don’t worry, we’ll be here when you get back.

  4. You should be tired…the 8th month is exhausting. And weeble-wobble-ish.

    Knitting scarves?

Take care of yourself and Little Bit…we’ll all be here when you return.

  5. Ohhh – this is so exciting and sad at the same time. I’ve come to depend upon my fix of Anne Riley Whimsy week (or so) after week but I totally understand.

The calendar is marked, the fingers are crossed – you go girl.
