First, you should know I’m not at work today. Baby Girl has come down with a cold and we’ve spent the morning experimenting to find the combination of pajamas and medication that will allow her to nap. So far, this is what we know:
Fleece footie pajamas + infant Tylenol + Vick’s baby rub + humidifier + sound machine +baby doll = no nap
Fleece footie pajamas + infant Tylenol + Vick’s baby rub + humidifier = no nap
Cotton long sleeved pajamas + bottle + Vick’s baby rub +humidifier +sound machine = jury’s still out.
SPEAKING OF JURIES BEING OUT, I can’t think about Amanda Knox without breaking out in hives and hyperventilating. Okay, that hasn’t actually happened, but I’m seriously nervous about it. After hearing how BOTCHED the entire trial has been, I’m convinced she’s innocent and I can’t stand the thought of her spending life in prison.
What do you think?
And now for the point of this post.
I’m trying to make the most of our day home by working on PULL. I am literally 2 or 3 chapters away from the end of Final Final Revisions. After that, the only thing I’ll need to do is settle down at Panera for the entire day on Saturday, turn off my phone, and read through the whole manuscript in one go. I’ll make any last minute edits and then–
This is where things get tricky.
One week ago today, I found myself in a bit of a pickle. And yes, it’s an agent-related pickle. I guess you could say I’m between agents right now. There was a little bit of a shakeup last week and, long story short, I’m not sending PULL to Alanna.
I’m sending it to . . . someone else.
I think everything will be fine. I hope everything will work out the way I’d like for it to. And mostly, I hope I can stop this whole Captain Vague act and actually give more details.
My deadline is to have PULL out to Someone Else by Monday. It must happen. And it will.
