Helloooooo!

Well, it’s official! PULL is a complete manuscript! I stayed after school yesterday to write the last chapter, and I can’t even tell you how good it feels to know that it’s DONE!

Sort of.

Because you know what comes next, right?

REVISIONS!

I’m going to let it sit until Wednesday, I’ve decided. The best thing is to stay away from it for two weeks-ish, but unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of time.

So on Wednesday I will open it back up and read through the whole thing. And as I go, I will tweak and rework as needed.

My betas will have it in their inboxes by Thursday morning.

They’ll have a couple weeks to get through it, and then they’ll send it back to me with their comments, at which point I will go back through it–again–and see what I want to change based on their feedback.

And then it goes to le agent. Who will hopefully like it and want to go on submission with it. Fingers crossed, everyone!

In 0ther news, I’ve got my first real book signing today at 1:00! I’m so humbled and honored that this indie book store, the Book Nook, wants me to come have this event. It’s in my husband’s hometown and I can’t wait.

What else . . . oh, Baby Girl (formerly known as Little Bit) (hey, maybe I should do a Prince-type thing with her name. The Baby Formerly Known As Little Bit. TBFKALB.)

(That doesn’t flow as well as TAFKAP.)

ANYWAY.

Baby Girl, within the past month, has cut two teeth, started crawling, started pulling up on everything in sight, is trying to wean herself to one nap a day, and wants to walk reeeeeal bad.

Also, I have started back to teaching high school full-time.

We are busy and tired.

How are YOU? I’ve missed you! I’m back online (you may have noticed I cheated on my No Facebook rule a couple times) so we can talk and hang out and tell each other how pretty we look.

Seriously. How are you? Leave me a comment. You know I read them all because I respond to them all.

You finished! Hooray!!! (I can’t freaking wait to read it!) Also you must be a mad fast reviser. I’m insane with charts and diagrams and storyboards taped to the walls (yes the first time people walk into my apartment they kinda stop and go “uh…what is THAT?” and point at my ‘plot wall’) so you must be made of magic. ๐Ÿ™‚

Made of magic . . . or just plain crazy? We may never know. And I can’t wait for you to read it either!

Congrats on finishing your first draft and for making your deadline! Have fun at the signing!

YAY! You finished it! I’m jealous of your betas. If you ever need another…ahem…just sayin’. I catch a typo here and there and a wrong word but I’m really good at the ‘this doesn’t flow because it totally interrupted my fantasy and submersion into the story’ kind of gal.

As for the little one, OMG they do grow so fast. Just this evening, I was watching my first born as he backed the gator into the barn. He’s 9 and She’s 8. ALREADY.

Welcome back and congrats on the completion! At least first round, right! Speedy revisions to you!

Thank you thank you! And there are SO many people I would love to have as betas, but sadly, I can only handle so much feedback. Know what I’m sayin? But thank you so much for your offer and I may take you up on it in the future!

Hi Anne – Wow! Congratulations on finishing your manuscript. Can’t wait until it is in print for us to read. Glad you are back. My daughter teaches high school, too! It looks like you have been very busy. Glad you are back.
