By now, everyone is aware that the south is reeling from April 27’s tornados. And you probably all know that I live in Alabama, which took the brunt of the storms head on.
This state is – to use a word that has become so overused it hardly carries meaning anymore – devastated.
You’ve probably heard of another huge relief auction going on over at Help Write Now, and I highly encourage you to check it out – there are so many cool things up for auction!
But there’s another relief site that just got off the ground today called All 4 Alabama, and guess what? I’ve donated something for auction!
It took me a while to figure out what I could offer; The Clearing is in the middle of a giveaway, so it seemed weird to auction that. I kinda like my husband, and I’m pretty sure auctioning off my baby would be illegal. What else did I have?
Oh yeah. I’m represented by an agent, which means… I know how to write a query letter. And a synopsis. And, dang it, I’m a pretty awesome Beta reader if I do say so myself.
So, that’s what I decided to auction. The winning bidder will have their choice of a query letter critque, a synopsis critique, or a critique of their first ten pages – done my ME!
I’m not sure exactly what day my item will go up for auction – probably either Thursday or Friday – but regardless, you should check it out and see if anything grabs your eye. And remember, it all goes to tornado relief!
And if you haven’t entered yet, be sure to check out my giveaway of my first novel, The Clearing!
