“The Clearing” Giveaway Winners!

Okay, ladies and gents! Thanks to the skillful random-number-picking of my husband, a co-worker, and three of my eleventh graders, we have FIVE people who will soon have a free paperback copy of The Clearing in their hands! Are you ready? Here we go!

Winner Number One is Ansley Kniskern! This is so appropriate, too, because Ansley is a good friend in real life and has recently become one of my unofficial publicists. She is a very deserving winner! Congratulations, Ans!

Winner Number Two is Starr Parnell! This is also a fun choice because Starr and I went to college together! In fact, I’m pretty sure I still have a picture of Starr and me with “duck bills” made out of Pringles that we stuck in our mouths. If it’s hard to picture, that’s because it’s weird. Really, really weird. Yay Starr!

Winner Number Three is the lovely Raquel Byrnes who I don’t know in real life but wish I did! Raquel is a frequent commenter on my blog and I love hearing from her. Hooray Raquel!

Winner Number Four is the absolutely fabulous, always hilarious Jen Stayrook! Jen and I have gotten to know each other via Twitter and I just adore her. Congrats Jen!

And Winner Number Five is the almost-too-sweet Penelope Rose, who I don’t know in real life but have become good friends with through social networking. I know she’s super cool because even after my Alabama Crimson Tide DEMOLISHED her Michigan State Spartans and I talked smack about it, she didn’t disown me as a friend. Yay Penelope!

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who entered! If you won, your books are currently on their way to me. I will sign your copy with a personalized message and ship it to you ASAP. If you didn’t win, don’t worry – the paperback and e-book of The Clearing will be available very soon. I hope you’ll do me the honor of reading my little story.

Thanks again, and Happy Tuesday!

I did a double take when I saw my name and was like “no way, i never win anything!” SOOO EXCITED to start reading on my metro commute!!!

  2. Ansley says:

This is AWESOME! In the midst of all the grad school nonsense (because it is, indeed, nonsense), I feel like I’ve won the lottery!

    Thanks, Anne!

P.S. When are you and Rob going on a date so I can hang with Mags?
