Welcome To My New Home!

If you’re seeing this post, you’ve made it to my brand new website! Hooray! Thanks for coming along – you’re the best!

I’m so lucky to have a friend like Spencer Wyatt of Wyatt Labs, who happens to be an amazing web designer. Spencer and I spent hours together in Barnes and Noble, drinking coffee and working on the website. And by “working on the website” I actually mean I watched Spencer manipulate lines of incomprehensible HTML code and then told him how I wanted him to “make it prettier.” We made a good team, Spencer and I. He did all the dirty work while I obsessed over graphic elements. It was really fun to design this website with him, and I hope you’ll enjoy it, too!

The launch of a new website means the end of my Blogger blog. It was weird, writing my last post tonight. Sort of like saying goodbye to an old friend.

And then saying hello to a TOTALLY HOT NEW FRIEND!!

In all seriousness, I am super pumped about this website and I’m so glad you’ve made the transition with me. After all, if I didn’t have you, who would read the rambling and incongruent things I publish out here on the interweb? Who? Yeah. The answer you’re looking for is NO ONE.

If you haven’t already, please take a minute to click around the site. And be sure to notice all the fonts and how everything is perfectly lined up, because my OCD tendencies really worked hard on that.

Alright… it’s almost midnight, which is way past my teacher bedtime. I’m getting a little punchy and I’m not entirely sure I’m making sense, so I’m going to bed now. Love y’all! Talk soon!

    I love the new site!
When it’s time to put my own website together, can I borrow Spencer? Tell him I’ll buy the coffeee ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Anne Riley says:

Hmmm. I don’t know about that, Lorel. I prefer to keep Spencer in my basement, you know, just in case I need him. But hey, things change, right? And if you throw in some coffee for me, well then you might just have yourself a deal.

Love it, Anne! It’s very professional – nice colours, fonts & yup, everything is lined up really well ๐Ÿ™‚ (I have a few OCD tendencies myself). Very nice.

It looks great Anne! I’m going to go exploring now! I’ll add this to my author spotlight on my website too! (I think I already had you on there, but linked to your blogger) Either way, you’ll definately be there now!

Thanks so much, Sara! Yeah… I had no clue how to do it, either, but I knew I wanted something professional looking. That’s why I hired Spencer. Seriously, I have no idea what he did, but this was the end result. It wouldn’t be anything near this good if I did it myself.

Thanks Rhonda! And I just realized I forgot to list you over there, but I will fix that right now!

  7. Heather says:

Well, he did a good job of “making it prettier”…I love it!! It’s professional but still a little cute – exactly how I hope my Web site to look one day! (And thanks for including me in your writer blog list!! <3)

It looks and feels great, Anne! Spencer did a beautiful job and so did you. Besides Spencer, can I borrow your photographer? I LOVE your author photos! Best wishes to you in your new home.

P.S. Thanks for including me. It’s like walking into someone’s home and seeing your photo in the “friends” collage. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks Kristie! And you are so right about my photographer. She also took our wedding pictures and she is basically amazing. And of course I included you – how could I not? ๐Ÿ™‚
